Best for
Annual reports, company profiles, magazines and guidelines
Publicationsthat are a pleasureto read.
We design reports, magazines, ebooks and brand guidelines with a clear structure and a calm layout, so long content is easy to follow on paper and on screen.
Reports, profiles and guidelines are often the longest things a business publishes, and the least designed. Pages fill up with text, charts change style from one section to the next and the important points get lost.
When a document is hard to read, people skim it or put it down, and the work behind it never gets the attention it deserves.
We start with the reader: what they need to find, in what order and on which device. Then we build a layout system with a grid, a type scale and a style for every element.
Every page follows the same rules, so the document feels calm and considered from cover to back page, and your team can update it next year without starting again.

The quiet
city.
How small streets are changing the way we live and work.
Small streets have always set the pace of a city. On Harbour Road the shops open late, the bakery sells out by ten and nobody seems to hurry. Over the last ten years a quiet change has taken hold: more people work a short walk from home, cafés double as offices and the street itself has become a meeting room. We spent a week there, from the first delivery at dawn to the last light in the workshop windows, talking to the people who keep it running and asking what a good street really needs.

Making room
for slow design.
Words by Tom Hale · Photographs by Iris MoeWe met in a small studio above a joinery, where the only sound was a radio and the slow scrape of a plane. Neve has spent twenty years making furniture that is meant to be used every day and repaired, not replaced. Her advice for anyone starting out is simple: make fewer things, make them well and leave room for the people who will live with them. The rest, she says, takes care of itself over time.

Selected work
Print and layout work we have done.
All case studiesAnnual and impact reports, company profiles, magazines, brochures, ebooks, white papers and brand guidelines. If it runs to more than a few pages and needs to be read properly, we can design it.
Both. We set up print-ready files with the right bleed and colour settings for your printer, and screen versions such as interactive PDFs that are light enough to email.
Yes. We build the layout around your logo, colours and fonts. If parts of the brand do not work well in long documents, we suggest small additions, such as a secondary typeface or a chart palette.
You provide the content and we shape it for the page: headings, pull quotes and structure. If you need help with the writing itself, we can add copywriting to the project.
Most documents take two to four weeks, depending on the page count, the amount of data and the number of review rounds. You get a clear timeline with your quote.
Yes. We hand over editable templates and a short guide to the styles, so new editions keep the same quality without starting from scratch.
